BrewPilot Support

Before getting in touch, take a look through the common issues below — most problems have a quick fix. If your issue isn't covered, scroll down and drop us a message with as much detail as you can and we'll get back to you.

This is almost always resolved by a clean restart:

  1. Close the app fully (swipe it away from your recent apps)
  2. Restart your device
  3. Reopen BrewPilot

If the problem persists, check the App Store or Google Play to make sure you're running the latest version — updates often include stability fixes. If you're already up to date and it's still crashing, please get in touch and let us know your device model and OS version.

BrewPilot stores all data locally on your device. Your data won't be affected by uninstalling and reinstalling the app unless you're on iOS and your device backup includes app data — in which case restoring from a backup may recover it.

Data can be lost if the app was uninstalled without a backup, or if your device was wiped. Unfortunately in those cases recovery isn't possible, as we don't hold copies of your data on any server. If you're seeing data you definitely entered disappear without uninstalling, please contact us with details — that would indicate a bug we'd want to fix.

Double-check the unit settings first — BrewPilot supports both metric and imperial, and the calculators will produce unexpected results if the selected units don't match your inputs. You can check and update your unit preferences in the Profile tab.

If you're confident the units are correct and a result still looks wrong, please send us the inputs you used (including units) and what result you expected — we take accuracy seriously and will investigate promptly.

The Brew Day Schedule PDF uses your device's built-in share sheet. If nothing happens when you tap download:

  • Check that BrewPilot has storage or files permission in your device settings
  • On iOS, the share sheet should appear — try tapping "Save to Files" or "Save to Photos"
  • On Android, the file should be saved to your Downloads folder

If no share sheet appears at all, a restart of the app usually resolves it.

We appreciate these reports enormously — they make the app more accurate for everyone. Please get in touch using the form below, and let us know:

  • The item in question (hop name, style name, etc.)
  • The field you believe is incorrect
  • What you believe the correct value should be, and your source if possible

We'll review it and, if confirmed, include the correction in the next update.
